After a good long stew over the pros and cons of deactivating my Facebook account, I’ve done it. It’s gone. Well I say gone in the sense that it’s only deactivated, not deleted, so should I feel the need to go back to the addiction known as Facebook, I can, with a simple click.
It feels liberating to no longer be in the FB universe. Strangely liberating. I won’t be wasting nearly as much time each day, won’t have the negative people popping up on my computer screen, and I can dedicate more time to blogging… something I’ve wanted to do more and more. I still have Twitter, which I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of, and Google+, something new I’m not sure I will stick with.
If you are a follower of mine, thanks for sticking it out. I’ve been MIA several times for a good long while, and I apologize. I’m hoping to blog more now that FB is out of the picture since I won’t be posting status updates everyday… I’ll need to post updates more thoroughly here.
With that said, I bring you some updates…
One of my bestest friends (yes I know bestest isn’t a word but I like it so I’m going to use it anyway) Liz flew in from D.C. almost two weeks ago to throw me a baby shower. The shower is tomorrow and I’m really excited. Today we’re going to pick up cupcakes (Mmmmm cupcakes) and then go grocery shopping for other food with substance (I say cupcakes will do, but others might disagree). She’ll be here for almost two more weeks after the shower too, so I get a good amount of time with her. YAY!!!
I’ll be sure to post pictures from the shower… I promise.

Not many more updates to post at the moment… Like I said before, I’ll post pictures from the shower, and I actually have more pictures to post too, Holden’s room for example, but since upgrading to Lion, Gimp isn’t working and I have to wait for them to update.
So other than saying so long to Facebook… now I say “hello, I’ve missed you!”, to blogging.
