Since becoming a nomad, again, in November, I took a break from Stitch Fix. We don’t have an address and I didn’t want to take the chance of having something sent if our plans changed. Plans did change and I’m glad I didn’t schedule one for a while.
When I knew we’d be spending some time at my wonderful In-Laws’, I scheduled a Fix. I’m so glad I did. Gillian didn’t disappoint, yet again.
Since cutting Facebook ties, I’ve literally felt a monstrous weight off my shoulders. I’ve had more time to work on NEW projects for my shop and soon I’ll be debuting them. My shop’s main focus has always been centered on Military Pride, and I’m working on introducing some organizing tools that will help military families, civilian families too, keep things tidy on a day-to-day basis. I’m really excited to share them with you… stay tuned.
Speaking of organizing. I’ve been doing a lot more of it. I’ll be posting about that, hopefully, this week. Since we’ll be PCSing (Permanent Change of Station, a grand ol’ military acronym for moving) at the end of the year, we, and I really mean I, need to make sure we’re as prepared as possible.
Our little guy is growing up far too quickly, as they do. He doesn’t say much but he is plum full of mischief. He’s enjoying preschool and loves his teachers a ton.
My fourth fix arrived a bit later than usual this month because of a technical problem, but once it did arrive, I was very happy with it. On to the Fix.
I signed up for a subscription with Stitch Fix three months ago and while I can’t say I’ve loved everything they’ve sent, I can say I love the service. Especially after my recent fix. It arrived yesterday afternoon and I was just able to unbox it this morning and try everything on.
I mentioned Stitch Fix in my last post and my first “Fix” arrived this afternoon. I was so excited, I only took one picture of the box and then ripped it open.
First up: A beautiful 41Hawthorn Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan. I absolutely love the color. It’s also lightweight so it’ll be perfect for layering in the spring and summer. This is a keeper. At $48.00, it’s not bad on the pocketbook either.
Next: Ellison Davis Leopard Print Button-Up Cardigan. Not all to fond of animal print. It screams “Old lady” to me. This one is going back. $68.00
Next: Under Skies Briella Embroidery Detailed Peasant Tank. This will be great to layer with a jacket or wear on its own. I’ll be wearing this a ton in Guam. $54.00
Next: 41Hawthorn Adrienne Lightweight Dragonfly Print Infinity Scarf. Love the colors and I’m a huge fan of scarves. $28.00
Last but not least: Kensie Jeans Johnny Skinny Jeans. My stylist “Jill” must have been reading my mind. I’ve been wanting/needing another pair of skinny jeans. And these ones fit great!!! LOVE THEM!!! $88.00
I can’t wait for my next Fix to arrive. From what I’ve read, each Fix gets better and better.
I’d love to see what you’ve received in your first Fix. Have you signed up? If not, I’d love for you to use my referral link. 🙂
I’ve always loved shoes and beautifully structured clothes. I recently saw The Proposal, a new Sandra Bullock movie, with Liz and loved-loved-loved one of the suits that Sandra wore in a key scene of the movie. Below is the poster for the movie with Sandra wearing the suit I’m talking about.
The specific suit that Sandra Bullock wore was made specifically for her so obviously I wouldn’t be able to buy a replica of the specific suit so I did some searching. I was able to find some suits but they didn’t have exactly what I wanted or they cost a whole months pay… so onto more searching. I came across her shoes. They’re made by Christian Louboutin and they are GORGEOUS!!!
