MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

 {What is your must have gadget? submitted by Flying High With My Flyboy}

My iPhone and my Kindle.  I can’t go a day without having them…. right now I’m going nuts because I sent my iPhone in to have the home button fixed.  It was sticking.  I’m using an old phone and it drives me crazy not having my apps…. UGH… hurry up FedEx.  Get here so I can have my phone back.

{How does your adulthood compare to what you imagined it would be like when you were a little kid? submitted by L to the Third }
That’s an interesting question.  When I was little I wanted to be a flight attendant so I could travel.  I guess I’ve been able to travel a good deal, but in a different way.  🙂  It’s more work then I thought it would be as a kid.

{What is your favorite chocolate recipe?  submitted by Our First Deployment}

It’s a Chocolate Truffle recipe my friend Lyn makes… they are so yummy and you can never eat just one.  🙂

3 cups of milk chocolate chips
1 cup of white chocolate chip
1 stick of butter (room temp)
1 cup of cool whip

Melt milk and white chocolate chips in butter for one minute in microwave.  Depending on how hot the microwave is adjust heating up time.  You could probably use a double broiler too.

When everything is melted stir in cool whip.  Yummo!  Then refrigerate for at least an hour or too.  Then you can start rolling the chocolate mixture into little balls using a small cookie scoop.  Then roll in coconut, chopped walnuts, chocolate sprinkles, powdered sugar, or anything else you like.

Then put back in the fridge to set.  You can make them a couple of nights before, too, which is nice.

{How do you deal with military life when it gets to be to much or to hard? submitted by Combat Boots And Pointe Shoes}
I blog a lot… or talk to my friends to vent.  🙂  I don’t know what I would do without my friends.

{What piece of advice would you give a new Military spouse facing their first deployment?  submitted by The Albrecht Squad}
You’ll have hard days and easier days, but know that he’s doing his job to keep our country free and he loves and misses you just as much as you do him.  Keep your thoughts positive and your military friends close because they know what you’re going through.
