Stitch Fix #13

Stitch Fix #13 | JessicaFawn.com

It’s been a long while since I’ve blogged about Stitch Fix. This is my 13th Fix and while 13 is commonly an unlucky number, that was not the case for me.

I’ve had the same stylist since signing up, which has been awesome. Gillian has gotten to know my style well. She does send me things outside of my comfort zone and times and I’ve ended up liking a couple of them. SHE’S AMAZING!

Onto my Fix # 13. Read more

Carrying on Mum’s Tradition

Carrying on Mum's Tradition | JessicaFawn.com

Years ago, when I was very young, I remember my Grandmother, “Mum”, going thru the coins my Grandfather took out of his pockets at the end of each day. Curious, I asked her what she was doing. She explained to me that she was looking for special coins. Special coins? What makes a coin special?

Memorial Day Flags

Remembering the lives lost.

Memorial Day Flags | JessicaFawn.com

“Each Flag, a life

Row after row, flags flutter on the former battlefield of Asan Beach. A display of American flags is a familiar sight on Memorial Day in national cemeteries to remember service members whose lives were taken in war. Yet on Guam, remembrance is uniquely deeper as the war between 1941 and 1944 tragically took the lives of more than 20,000 Americans, Chamorros, and Japanese. Read more

My New Biz Launch, yes another one. Ha ha.

This post will be a little long so I apologize in advance. 🙂

A long while ago a friend added me to a Facebook group she started to get people interested in something she started selling. While I was happy for her, I’ve been in almost every Direct Sales business you can think of; Stampin’ Up!®, Uppercase Living®, Pampered Chef®, Tupperware® and more. Yes. I’ve done a lot of DS.

About two to three months ago my neighbor, Tracy, invited me to a Mimosas and Mini Facials party. Sadly, I wasn’t able to go.  She gave me a mini facial to bring home. I gladly took it and thanked her. It literally sat on my bathroom counter for about a week before I decided a little pampering was needed. After trying the mini facial, I was amazed how my skin felt.

oh boy… has it been a while.

Ok. So I know it’s been forever since I posted last and a lot has happened but little has changed. Well in the grand scheme of things, little has changed.

We’re finally settled in Guam. Living life as it comes. Honey is underway. As usual. Doing what he does best and loving it. While we miss him, he’s doing what he’s meant to.

{the little black boat.} is doing well. It’s keeping me busy along with all the ins and outs of Mommy-hood. Holden is loving school and all of his friends. He had two birthday parties this past Saturday and let me tell you that makes for an awful long weekend. I’m looking forward to taking a breather this weekend with Memorial Day.

We’ll probably take a drive out to Asan Memorial Park to pay our respects to all the men and women that have made the ultimate sacrifice for our Freedom. I’ll be sure to post pics.

Going to try my darndest to post more often. But you know how many times I’ve said that. Ha ha.

I’ve been working on lots of new projects for {tlbb}. It’s so very fun. I’ve also ventured into something new that I’ll post more about soon. It’s SOOO very exciting and I’m loving it.

In the mean time, I’ll say ciao for now! ha ha!

Independence Day delayed

Hello all… It’s been a while.

Since my last post, we’ve moved clear across the globe to Guam, again, and thankfully we’re settled. It was a long haul. Holden and I went without Matt since he had to take the boat clear around from Portsmouth, NH to our beautiful island home. We were apart for 7 months. I hope to never have to do that again… I’ll write more about that another time.

Today, I want to fast forward to the present…

Memorial Day

On this Memorial Day, and every day, we Remember, Respect and Honor our fallen military Heroes. We also honor and thank the surviving military families for their sacrifice and strength. We will never forget. Memorial Day: USS Thresher | JessicaFawn.com

We remember the 129 souls lost on April 10, 1963, when the USS Thresher (SSN 593) sank.

“There are no roses on sailors graves, Nor wreaths upon the storm tossed waves, No last post from the Royals band, So far away from their native land, No heartbroken words carved on stone, Just shipmates bodies there alone, The only tributes are the seagulls sweeps, And the teardrop when a loved one weeps.”

Stitch Fix #7

Stitch Fix

Since becoming a nomad, again, in November, I took a break from Stitch Fix. We don’t have an address and I didn’t want to take the chance of having something sent if our plans changed. Plans did change and I’m glad I didn’t schedule one for a while.

When I knew we’d be spending some time at my wonderful In-Laws’, I scheduled a Fix. I’m so glad I did. Gillian didn’t disappoint, yet again.
